On 25 April, Anzac Day services will be held in major cities and at international war memorials. If you're travelling to attend a service, be prepared and know what to expect.

Smaller services are held at other memorial sites.
Exercise a high degree of caution in Türkiye and France due to the threat of terrorist attacks. Attacks could happen at any time. Follow the instructions of security personnel. They're there to keep you and others safe. There’ll be security screening when entering the memorial sites. Security will take any banned items off you. You can find a list of banned items in the site conditions of entry.
Research the local laws and customs of your destination. Know the behaviour that's expected around important events. Always be respectful, no matter how you're marking the day.
Local health authorities give limited medical support at the memorial sites. They’re equipped for emergencies, not to treat minor ailments. There are few facilities for people with disabilities or limited mobility. Find out if local facilities will meet your needs.
Anzac Day Dawn Services are held outdoors. The weather can be variable. You'll be exposed to the elements as there's no permanent shelter. Bring clothing that suits the climate where you're going.
Know how you'll get to service locations.
